First Saturdays: Rosary and Prayer Event – A Special Gathering for Worship

The Catholic Church has used YouTube as a platform to reach people around the world and share the Gospel of Christ. This is in line with the teachings of Saint John Paul II, who called for a New Evangelization that would reach people wherever they were. Catholic YouTube channels offer a wide variety of content, from today’s Gospel to Saints’ novenas, that can help people grow in their faith.

The Catholic Church teaches that all Catholics are called to know, love, and serve God. Catholics are also called to be formed in the Catholic faith in order to respond to our faith and bear witness to Christ in today’s world. Catholics need to share the Love and Forgiveness that God gives us in Christ Jesus with each person, so that the presence of God accompanies them every day and they do not feel alone, sad and without hope.

A Reflection from the video of Divine Mercy

Sat, June 3 – First Saturdays: Rosary, and Special Prayer Event – On June 3, the First Saturdays event took place, which included rosary and a special prayer event. During this event, participants expressed their gratitude to Jesus for being in his presence and asked for meekness and humility of heart. The event was held as an opportunity to make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for all offenses and blasphemies committed against her. Participants prayed for those who publicly implant indifference, disrespect, and even hate for Mary in the hearts of children as well as for those who revile her in sacred images.

As part of the event, participants were encouraged to go to confession and receive Holy Communion, to recite five decades of the Rosary, and to meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary while keeping Mary company for 15 minutes. In addition, participants who were unable to attend confession physically or receive Holy Communion were invited to make an act of contrition and an act of spiritual communion. Participants prayed the Rosary and contemplated the life of Jesus, which is alive and participates in the Divine eternity because Jesus is God.

During the event, the importance of deep confidence in Jesus and the power of prayer against the devil were reiterated. Participants were encouraged to be prudent and concerned about the devil while having a healthy, holy respect for his power and brilliance. The Blessed Mother was seen as a powerful ally in the fight against the devil, and participants were reminded of her crushing power over him.

The event was also an occasion to pray for protection of human life from the moment of conception until natural death and for the intentions of the members of the Association of Mary and helpers, both living and deceased. Participants prayed for the monthly intentions of the Holy Father, which included prayer for evangelization as well as for the abolition of torture. They prayed that the International Community may commit in a concrete way to ensuring the abolition of torture and guarantee support to victims and their families.

Overall, the First Saturdays event was a reminder of the power of prayer, the importance of meekness and humility, and the role of the Blessed Mother as a powerful ally in the fight against the devil. It was an opportunity to contemplate the life of Jesus and to ask for forgiveness for offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Participants also prayed for the protection of human life and the intentions of the Holy Father.
